These terms govern your use of Just Talk, a macOS dictation app made by Enfoca (the "Company", "we", "us"). By installing or using Just Talk you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're using Just Talk on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your email address current and for safeguarding the API key issued to you. If you suspect someone else is using your account, email us and we'll rotate the key.
3. The license we grant you
While your subscription is active, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Just Talk for your personal or business productivity. You may install on multiple Macs you own, with one active subscription per individual user.
A subscription is a license to use, not ownership of the software. You can't redistribute the binary, sublicense it, or claim it as your own work.
4. Intellectual property
Just Talk, its name, its design, and its source code remain Enfoca's property. Brand assets and the website are likewise ours. Open-source components are governed by their respective licenses.
5. Your content and your data
Anything you dictate is yours. We don't claim rights over your transcripts. We don't store your audio. Per the Privacy Policy, transcripts live locally on your Mac.
6. Pricing and payment
7. Access and delivery
After signup or successful Checkout, you receive an API key tied to your email. Downloads come from justtalk.enfo.ca and are version-stamped. Auto-updates require the API key to be present in your Mac's Keychain.
8. Refunds
Refunds are available within 14 days for technical defects we can't fix. Subscription cancellations stop future billing but don't refund the current period (with a 48-hour exception for accidental renewal). Full details on the Refund Policy page.
9. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- block Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except as allowed by law
- block Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or your API key
- block Share an API key across multiple users (one subscription = one user)
- block Abuse the rate limits or attempt to bypass them
- block Use the service to transcribe content you don't have the right to record
- block Submit content that's illegal in your jurisdiction
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Just Talk is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee that transcription will always be accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that it will fit any specific purpose. Voice models can mishear; AI editing can rephrase incorrectly. Always review what you publish.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Enfoca is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Just Talk. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Account in the app, or by emailing us. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your access to the service ends and your API key is revoked.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking will be handled in the competent courts of Mexico City.
14. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and email active subscribers. Continued use after a material update means you accept the new terms.
